Ein Powerlifter-Leitfaden zum geschwindigkeitsbasierten Training [VBT], Teil 1
Velocity Based Training (VBT) ist eine Methode zur automatischen Regulierung des Trainings. Es kann die Belastung der Stange, die Anzahl der Wiederholungen innerhalb eines Satzes, die Gesamtzahl der Sätze, jede Kombination dieser drei oder jeden anderen relevanten Faktor im Training automatisch regulieren. Es liegt jenseits des Rahmens dieses Artikels, die Argumente für VBT vorzubringen. Es ist schwierig, Argumente für VBT vorzubringen, wenn man nicht zuerst festgestellt hat, dass die zur Messung der Geschwindigkeit verwendeten Methoden gültig und/oder genau sind. VBT ist eine Trainingsmethode, die bei Kraftsportlern und Mannschaftssportarten eingesetzt wird. Bei Kraftsportlern wie Powerlifting hat es deutlich weniger Aufmerksamkeit erhalten. Andere Trainer können sich angemessener zu diesem Thema für Kraft und Kondition außerhalb des Powerliftings äußern, und Leute wie Bryan Mann, Carl Valle, Dan Baker, Eamonn Flannigan und Mladen Jovanovic haben dies bereits getan. Auf der Powerlifting-Seite des Hauses beschränkt sich das Volumen an schriftstellerischen und akademischen Arbeiten auf Louis Simmons von Westside Barbell, Brandon Senn von Kabuki Power, Mladen Jovanovic von Complementary Training, und ich schätze, man könnte dies auch mit Mike Tuscherer von Reactive Training Systems sagen – obwohl es passender wäre zu sagen, dass Mike die Geschwindigkeit als Bezugspunkt und nicht als Trainingstreiber verwendet.
